ABOUT
Why should your animal see a Physiotherapist?
Do you want your pet or companion to live a pain free life? Do you want to provide the best care for your animals? Do you want to maximise performance and reduce the risk of injury in your sporting animals? Has your animal just sustained an injury or undergone surgery? If the answer to all of these questions in yes, then physiotherapy may be the answer!

The core aim of Veterinary Physiotherapy is to reduce pain and improve function. However, there is so much more that we can achieve through consistent and effective physiotherapy treatments. Physiotherapy has the ability to speed up recovery times after injury or surgery, reduced the risk of injury, improve performance, but most importantly improve quality of life.

Physiotherapy offers a variety of treatment methods and each treatment plan is tailored to each animal in order to maximise results.

The NAVP and CPD
What are they and why are they important?
The NAVP stands for the National Association of Veterinary Physiotherapists and is a voluntary regulatory body for qualified and insured Veterinary Physiotherapists around the country. The NAVP ensures that all their members follow the most recent laws and legislations and are fully qualified and insured in order to provide gold standard care.

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development and is a requirement of NAVP membership. Each year members must complete a set number of hours of CPD. This ensures that your Veterinary Physiotherapist is up to date with the latest research and knowledge. CPD also encompasses new skills and techniques, which are valuable in order to provide the best tailored treatment for your animal.

Emma is a current member of the NAVP and takes part in regular CPD so that she can provide the best standard of care for your animal.
